I quit smoking 1 year ago last month. Feeling pretty good too! --"there is only one thing, there is only one thing"--
Although I don't really update this site anymore, a recent incident has caused me to begin again if only for tracking purposes in case a problem I had today should repeat itself. I was about to take a test in my Psychology class when I noticed I was having trouble seeing the whole test. There was a blind spot (although not completely blank are, more like blurred colors), mostly in the bottom left corner of my left eyes field of view and some blurring in the upper portion of my right eyes field of view. The following picture was the best representation I could come up with, but imagine constant movement withing the distorted areas, like the intensity of light changing under a moving ceiling fan. Anyway, the field of distortion or blind spot moved outward in all directions until it was gone over a period of about 8 minutes. After getting home I started getting a fairly strong headache. Studying on the internet it appears these symptoms fit a migraine episode. I was under the impression that a migraine HAD to be very intensely painful though, and this was not a particularly strong headache. I would rate it as moderate. Hopefully it will never happen again but in case it does, this will be my first instance. Knowing what caused it would be helpful as well...For breakfast I ate dannon yogurt with blueberries and a piece of sourdough toast with butter. I had a very small cup of half-caffeinated coffee and at least 2 glasses of water. I drank about 3 sips of diet doctor pepper an hour before the test. I got approx. 6-7 hours of sleep the night before. None of this seems unusual except that I usually don't each low quality yogurt like that.
When looking at the back of a box of over-the-counter medicine, one may note the Directions section to figure a proper dosage. There is a dosage listed for "adults and children 12 years and older" and a separate dosage for "Children under 12 years". What this is saying is that my sister who is 14 years old can take the same dosage of OTC medicine as me, a 25 year old male. Now bear in mind my sister weighs somewhere around 100 lbs. and I weight 250 lbs. Am I to think that it
