Hollywood screenwriters frequently use Mad Libs to generate their shitty plots

So, it all starts out with this [SEPARATED COUPLE] who become close when nature's unpredictable course brings about [DESTRUCTIVE EFFECTS OF GLOBAL WARMING]. In the post-apocalyptic realm that follows widespread destruction, [THEIR SON] is in danger of dying as [HE] is [ON A TRIP TO NEW YORK CITY WITH HIS SCHOOL]. The [FATHER], who just so happens to be an expert in the field that relates to the disaster in question decides to [SAVE HIM], a decision that, in the context of the movie makes absolutely no sense logically or rationally, but it's okay because most people in the theatre will not bother questioning it. While the [SON] is barricaded in a [LIBRARY] to protect himself from a horrific [TIDAL WAVE AND SUBSEQUENT SNOWSTORM], [HUNGRY WOLVES] are [ACCIDENTALLY UNLEASHED FROM THE ZOO]. The [HUNGRY WOLVES] later [ATTACK] the [SON] as he attempts to procure [FOOD] from a [SHIP THAT HAS FLOATED NEXT TO THE LIBRARY]. Back in the [LIBRARY], an unlikely hero in the form of a [HOMELESS *BLACK* MAN] teaches [THE SON] a humbling lesson about [STAYING WARM] that he learned while [LIVING ON THE STREETS]. During the harrowing experience of being [TRAPPED IN THE LIBRARY FOR DAYS WITHOUT FOOD, WATER, OR MEDICINE], the [SON] falls in love with an attactive [SCHOOLMATE], and kissing ensues. Meanwhile, [THE KID'S MOTHER], who is a doctor, heroically stays with a [YOUNG CANCER PATIENT] while everyone else around gets the hell away. Finally, when the scientist [FATHER] reaches the [SON], everything turns out okay because for no apparent reason all the horror that was going on suddenly ends. The [GLOBAL WARMING] threat stops and everything goes back to normal. Everyone involved, even the guys who were formerly portrayed as assholes, are now wiser, more compassionate people who have learned important lessons about life, love, and humility.
